As we keep having birthdays, you don’t tend to celebrate as much as you did in younger days. I was pleasantly
surprised at our company meeting this past week by one of our top agents bringing in a birthday cake at our
company meeting, for me! What a beautiful surprise! (And yes, it was my birthday! Thanks, Eva Burd!)
My birthday celebration was more to the fact that it was my one year anniversary with The New Home Spot.
Early in 2015, I had gotten my real estate license and was ready to go into this new field. I decided to go with a big
box real estate firm thinking that the brand recognition would help me learn the business and get into a new
market quickly. Tried and true.
What I found was that after months of doing what they told me – I was not getting results. I was frustrated. My
broker never picked up the phone or answered emails. I needed help.
On a self-directed outing to learn more about the industry, I talked to a builder who suggested that maybe I
should talk to The New Home Spot. I did.
Last year for my birthday, my gift to myself was to take the leap and go somewhere else. I went in last year on my
birthday, signed up and have never looked back. My birthday gift to me!
I was helped by our broker/owner and was doing transactions within a couple of months. He always helps me sort
through the inevitable issues that arise within a transaction, and always answers back. So do I.
Now I am helping other agents achieve the same thing: Build their career in real estate, with integrity, and what
I’ve realized is the magic ingredient is what we have in abundance: PASSION.
We love what we do! We work one on one with our agents to get them out there and engage in the community.
Just ask our customers!
